Seat modification example for body dropped trucks

just finished a set of Dakota buckets for a local guy. as far as i know his truck is traditionally body dropped and the stock seats came almost all the way to the headliner, and just were just entirely tall for the truck.

in his case as can be done with almost all seats i was able to modify the stock seats and retain all the factory options as well as the tracks. which is nice since car, or other seats, do not have to be adapted to fit just to get smaller seats.

i disassembled the seats, removed the headrest loop from the frames, and sectioned about another inch and half out of the frames to lower them further. then just sectioned down and reshaped the factory foam to get everything smoothed up. the owner also wanted to change the design of the factory covers and work in more traditional inserts. so they were redone in black ultra leather, and silver ostrich. all said and done i was able to shorten the seats about 9"s total so they will fit the body dropped much better

ill post up Johhny D's seats too his have about the same kinda look. although they weren't cut down to sit under a window, but they were drastically chopped, same idea
