Hello to all the members of Maryland minis
I am from Milton, WV. Between Huntington and Charleston. Its hard to guage the ages of the members but it dont really matter as long as your a die hard lover of customs trucks, cars, what ever. I have been into Mini Trucks for a long time. I bought my 1st mini truck at 17. It was a Datsun truck and i had a blast in it. I customized this truck about as much as possible for the time. It was around 1986 and also in WV if you know what i mean. Slammed with 4" blocks and torsion bars let down as far as possible. The farmers didnt understand but i did. About 2 years later I bought a 85 ford ranger drove it a couple years and the cutting began. This truck was only 3 yrs old at the time and I slammed it, added ground effex, modified everything possible. Next the roof came off. This truck was only the 2nd convertible known to be in my area at least thats what the manufacture of the top said. Well anyway this truck i kept. I still have it today and is about complete with its 3rd full frame off. Adding more each time. This truck has been garage kept since about 1990. 2nd owner never wrecked or rusted anywhere. So dont judge a redneck from Wv about not loving the mini truck scene I feel that I helped get it started. I do about 1 project a year with my dads help for myself or locals. Sorry so long but needed to tell you who i was. scotf@firehousemail.com

Welcome to the site! Do you have any pictures of your truck?
Re: Hello to all the members of Maryland minis
I do but most of them are 10 years old. This is when i started tearing it down for the current re-build. Its sort of embarrasing to take so long on my own truck to get others done. I have some pics of the progress and like i said older pics.

Welcome man, and the truck sounds awesome!!!!! Convertible minis will always have a place in my heart! I've never owned one, but eventually I would like to buy a 94-03 S-10 to cut the top off of and just dump on some wheels.
Whats the latest transformation of the truck consist of?

Re: Hello to all the members of Maryland minis
thanks everyone for such a great reception to your forum. I have been out of the scene for so long and most of my old running mates got out of minis i feel alone. The progress on my truck is going really good. I thought I might get it done this summer. But I am so picky if things dont look just right it will be next spring. I dont want to roll out of the garage with things left undone.
